Artwork created from sustainable sculpting media

About formaterra.design

formaterra.design is a sculptural art studio founded by artist, scientist and technologist Aharon Arakel, dedicated to creating handcrafted works that unite artistic expression with sustainable material innovation.

The studio’s practice explores the relationship between form, texture and the natural world, expressed through four interconnected areas: modern sculptures, bas-relief panels, sculptural vases for floral arrangements, and works with environmental sustainability motifs. Each piece reflects a considered balance of structure, material and spatial presence.

Central to formaterra.design is a commitment to sustainability in artistic media. Drawing on Aharon’s expertise in mineral materials, the studio works with environmentally responsible, mineral-based composites that expand creative possibilities while reducing reliance on synthetic materials.

Inspired by botanical and geological forms, the work translates natural textures and structures into contemporary compositions—creating sculptural and functional pieces designed to bring clarity, depth and enduring beauty to both personal and corporate environments.
